The Challenge
What Ozzie Was Facing
Ozzie is a psychology-based AI finance app that analyses spending patterns and delivers behavioural nudges to help users build better financial habits. The AI was generating insights — but they were arriving at random times, were often irrelevant to the user's current situation, and were written in a clinical tone that felt like a bank statement rather than a supportive coach. Engagement with insights was under 12%.
The Solution
What We Built
We built a contextual delivery automation layer that connected the AI engine to user behavioural triggers — sending insights immediately after a large or unusual spend, proactively before a regular bill, and at month-end with a clear picture of progress. The tone was calibrated to the user's financial confidence level. The system learned from engagement signals to continuously improve its relevance scoring.
